History

In 1984...
The Lord stirred a desire within Pastor Mike’s heart to birth a ministry in Summerville, SC, which would proclaim the uncompromised word of God based on Luke 4:18 and Acts 10:38.

After receiving confirmation through three witnesses, Pastor Mike and his wife, Ann, began praying diligently for His guidance. In 1987, they spent several months praying for guidance and wisdom in establishing the church spiritually as well as legally.
Sunday, May 8, 1988...
Covenant Life Church of Summerville officially began as an independent, non-denominational church meeting at the Pastors’ residence. The church was organized for the purpose of proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ; to provide a place of worship for all people, and to engage in religious, charitable, and educational work.
In 1999...
The name Covenant Life Church Family Worship Center was adopted to have Covenant Life Church of Summerville, Inc. recognized as a multi-functional ministry. This name was used as an expression of explanation of the intent of the worship. It was not to replace the original legal name. In June 2000, the church moved into the facility on 16.8 acres of land at 10755 Highway 78, Summerville, SC.
From 2007...
to the present, as a result of a severe economic crisis that affected many people, businesses, and churches in the United States, the Pastors and Governing Board of Covenant Life Church were forced to make a very difficult decision regarding our location at 10755 Highway 78.
In 2010...
God made it possible to lease the facility to another church for a period of three years.
October 2013...
God worked a miracle and CLC moved back home to 10755 Highway 78, Summerville, SC.
